According to reports, the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) and an Australian delegation has agreed for an exchange program and now senior and junior teams of both the countries will play home and away series in the future.
At the Pakistan Army Officers Club in Islamabad, PHF President Brig® Khalid Sajjad Khokhar and PHF secretary Olympian Shahbaz Senior met the Australian delegation which comprise Director foreign affairs & trade for South Asia Michele Forster and Nicole Guihot, 1st Secretary economic & public diplomacy at the Australian High Commission Islamabad.
During the meeting, both the sides agreed that the mutual exchange tour program will start from next year when Pakistan junior team will tour Australia and after that, the Australian team will travel to Pakistan or another neutral venue.
According to the agreement, Hockey Australia will call Pakistani coaches, umpires and technical staff for coaching education programs and domestic activities in order to provide them useful experience and help them to groom.
