Afridi back in phenomenal form for Hampshire

In a T20 match on Thursday, superb bowling of former Pakistani T20 captain took Hampshire to a victory against Kent.

In 4 overs, Afridi took 3 wickets for 33 runs which earned him the man of the match award in the match that Hampshire won by 9 runs.

In the first innings, the all rounder also batted aggressively to score 21 of 14 balls which helped his team to increase runs with good pace.

In the first over, Afridi was hit for 15 runs while Hampshire was defending 159 runs. But in later overs, Afridi took very important wickets including Kent’s opener Daniel Bell-Drummond, skipper Sam Northeast and all-rounder Matt Coles to take the match towards Hampshire.

In the previous match, Hampshire lost against Middlesex by 69 runs in which Afridi took 2 wickets for is team.

The NatWest T20 Blast is a three month long tournament that started on 20th May while the final match will be played at Edgbaston Cricket Ground, Birmingham on 20th August 2016.
