Afridi Ambassador of ICC Champions Trophy

Dubai, Shahid Afridi is the leading and popular all rounder, who have played many tests, one day international and T20i matches from Pakistani side. Now ICC has appointed him as the ambassador of ICC Champions Trophy. ICC wants to impress the young generation from this game and the young players will come to this game. There are total 8 players of different countries of the world, who have been appointed as the ambassador of ICC Champions Trophy, in which Mike Hussy of Australia, Harbhajan Singh of India, Shane Bond of New Zealand, Habib al Bashar of Bangladesh, Kumar Sangakkara of Sri Lanka, Eion Bell of England and Graeme Smith of South Africa.

All these players have made total 51906 runs in total 1776 matches, and they took 878 wickets in the international cricket. These players will be present during the presentation of the ICC Champions Trophy and they will meet with the school children and also participate in the coaching clinics, which will be conducted to encourage the children to come to this game. Pakistan will also participate in the Champions Trophy but it never won the trophy. Now Pakistan is placed in the tough group in which Pakistan will have to play the matches against Sri Lanka, India and South Africa.
