Former captain Shahid Afridi is hopeful anout Pakistan’s victory against Australia in the series. The team is behind in the series 1-0 after losing first match in Brisbane and the 2nd test will start from 26th December in Melbourne.
Afridi said that they have good chance to defeat Australia in their homeland. The morale of the team will be high due to good fight back and especially the hundred made by Asad Shafiq.
The all rounder was hopeful that the guests will enjoy the next two matches as wickets of Melbourne and Sydney are suitable for them as both batsmen and bowlers will get support there. He thinks that M Amir can provide that chance. He is improving with both bat and ball and he can be a match winner in next two matches.
Shahid also favored to give chance to Sharjeel Khan in test cricket and said he has proved with his performance that he can do well on test level also. Afridi said that he currently wants to perform well for Peshawar Zalmi. He is satisfied with his bowling performance in BPL but batting needs improvement.
He added that meeting with Najam Sethi has been postponed for his last match. He appreciate the efforts of PSL administration to organize PSL final in Lahore and he was hopeful about participation of foreign players in final match in Pakistan as the situation has improve a lot now.
