Former national captain Shahid Afridi said that he will make a place in national team by forgetting the defeat in world cup and playing well in county cricket while few people tried media trial against him in order to save their positions in cricket.
Former captain said during an interview to foreign news agency that he is always ready to play for country while Pakistan became T20 world champion in 2009 due to his good form. Now he will try to return to national team after performing well in county cricket.
Shahid Afridi said on severe criticism by team manager and coach for his worst captaincy in 2016 T20 world cup that it is very sad that few people malign others by lying while they tried to his media trial by saving themselves. He said it is a reality that they performed poorly in world cup but only a single person is not responsible for this defeat.
After test cricket, Shahid Afridi took retirement from ODI cricket also last year but he didn’t take retiremtn from T20 cricket. Pakistan will tour England in July for 1 T20, 4 tests and 5 ODI matches but selectors dropped Shahid Afridi and several other important players from this tour.
