Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has confirmed the positive dope test of Ahmed Shahzad. According to the sources of PCB, the use of the prohibited medicines has been proved in the dope test of Ahmed Shahzad and the charge sheet will be issued to Ahmed Shahzad.

Pakistan Cricket Board has done the free analysis of the dope test of Ahmed Shahzad and the national doping agency of Pakistan got the assistance from the Indian doping lab on this issue. The dope test of Ahmed Shahzad was taken in May this year during the Pakistan cup one day tournament being managed in Faisalabad, when he was the captain of Balochistan team. The result of the doping test became the cause of difficulties for the 26 years old opener and the explanation was called from him.

It is expected that the charge sheet will be issued to him and his intermediate suspension will be started. Ahmed Shahzad has played 13 test matches, 81 one day international matches and 57 T20i matches and he is the only batsman of Pakistan, who made centuries in all three formats. Ahmed Shahzad is not the first players, who dope test proved position but there were some other players including Shoaib Akhtar, Muhammad Asif, Abdul Rehman, Raza Hassan and various other cricketers, who faced the ban after appearing their dope test positive.
