Amir Khan (29-3, 19 Kos) is the welterweight contender with #1 WBC, #2 WBA and #6 WBO and now he’s going to face Devon Alexander (26-2, 14 KOs), former two division world champion, in a 12 round scheduled bout at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino, in Las Vegas, (Nevada) USA on 13th December during Showtime.
This is expected to be a big fight that the paved the way for Khan (28) for the mega-fight against Floyd Mayweather Jr, a 147 pound WBA/WBC champion, for which Khan has been talking for long times.
The Khan-Alexander fight should have happened last December when both were talking about this fight but now it is a year late.

But Khan avoided the fight until May 2014 instead of facing Alexander and then turning towards the Mayweather fight. At that time, Mayweather got the fight with Marcos Maidana.
Last May, Khan fought against Danny Garcia, a fighter from the past, in Luis Collazo and lost to a knock-out in the fourth round.
