Shakib ul Hassain bowled well and he claimed 5 wickets in the first inning. Bangladesh got the lead of 43 runs over Australia and they started the second inning and Bangladesh team scored 221 runs in the second inning. The total comes to 264 runs and Australia has to get the target of 265 runs in their second inning. Tamim Iqbal scored 78 runs in the second inning while Mushfiq ur Raheem and Mehdy Miraz scored 41 and 26 runs respectively. Lyon claimed 6 wickets in the second inning and he restricted the total of Bangladesh to 221 runs.
David Warner of Australia played well in the second inning and he completed his 112 runs and took his team near to the winning position. Smith and Cummins made 37 and 33 runs respectively. Shakib ul Hassan also got the wickets in the second inning and he got 10 wickets haul in the first test match against Australia and he was declared the man of the match.
