Bilal Asif Bowling Action Cleared by ICC

On Friday ICC announced the bowling action of Bilal Asif as legal, and they permitted the player to precede bowling in International Cricket.

In the evaluation it came out that the amount of elbow extension in all of Bilal’s deliveries was well within the 15-degree level of tolerance permitted under the ICC regulations, the international cricketing body said in a statement.

The off spinner succeeded to take 5 wickets on 5th of October in the third and final ODI against Zimbabwe in Harare to help the Pakistan Cricket Team to undertake the match by 7 wickets.

However throughout the match, the umpires Jeremiah Matibiri of Zimbabwe and Ruchira Palliyaguruge from Sri Lanka reported the off spinners bowling action to match referee David Jukes of England.

Actually this Pakistani player was the third player to face objections on his bowling action ever since the ICC launched a crackdown in June previous year, with off-spinners Saeed Ajmal and Mohammad Hafeez also being reported.
