Dhaka, The west Indian most aggressive and prominent batsman, Chris Gayle has set the new world record of 18 sixes during his tremendous innings. In the final of the Bangladesh Premier League, he represented Rangpur Riders and played the final match against Dhaka Dynamites and he scored 146 runs on just 69 balls. He hit 18 sixes and 5 fours during his most aggressive inning and he changed the record book. This was his second three figure inning during the season and he completed his fifth century in BPL and he also set the unique record of 20 centuries in the T20 cricket. He became the only player of the world, who reached to the total of 11,000 runs. When he hit 18 sixes during an inning, he improved his previous world record of 17 sixes in an inning.

Due to his record breaking inning, Rangpur Riders scored 206 runs on the loss of one wicket. The other batsman was Brendon McCullum, who scored 51 runs during the innings and both the players remained not out. In chasing the target, the defending champion, Dhaka Dynamites made only 149 runs on just nine wickets. Zahoor Ul Islam scored 50 runs and Shakib ul Hassan made 26 runs. Shahid Afridi scored 8 runs and Kieron Pollard made 5 runs only.
