International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the panels of umpires for World T20. In this event, 2 female umpired will also supervise the matches of mega event for the first time.
2016 T20 World Cup will be held in India for which ICC has announced panel including 24 umpires and 7 referees. For the first time, female umpires will also supervise the matches of T20 world cup.
Kathy Cross of New Zealand will make history by supervising the match between Pakistan and Bangladesh in Women’s T20 World Cup 2016 on 16th March 2016 while Claire Polosak of Australia will perform the responsibility of umpiring in the match between New Zealand and Ireland that will be played on 18th March.
In the umpires’ panel announced by ICC, there are total 24 umpires including Aleem Dar while 7 match referees will also oversee the matches.
