An Indian sports channel asked for broadcasting rights for Pakistan super league 2018.
The Indian sports channel agreed to display 34 complete matches of the PSL, which are going to start from 23rd of February.
This is a biggest achievement from the Pakistan cricket board the PSL affiliated the franchises and parties for making the PSL a global success by including superstars like Mitchell Johnson, Kumar sangakkara and Angelo Mathews.
Bigger Audience, Better Revenues
The DD Sports channel is a new channel being launched by the discovery communication in India.
For the people who don’t know about the parent company, discovery communications own by the discovery channel and also operate other television networks in US, which include animal planet and TLC along with discovery.
The discovery channel has thought to expand themselves to sports section and it also promises huge audience which is also willing to pay. This dynamic shift led to the acquisition of ownership of euro sport in July, 2015.
According to this agreement the PSL matches will be viewed by 1.34 billion peoples in India. Not only the PC will have the bigger audience but the revenue will ramp up.
