Famous Pakistani boxer M Wasim has won the international professional silver title after defeating Philippines’ Jether Oliva. With this victory, M Wasim has come to 4th spot in the international professional boxing ranking.
The competition, held in Seoul (S Korea), lasted for 12 rounds during which Wasim fought aggressively and the judges unanimously declared him victorious.
CM Balochistan Sanaullah Zahri congratulates M Wasim on winning silver title of WBC and said that Wasim famed the country and province in the whole world. On the other hand, provincial sports minister Mir Mujeebur Rahman announced the reward of Rs. 500,000 for the boxer.
M Wasim has participated in several tournaments including Commonwealth Games, Combat Games China, Kings Cup Bangkok, South Asian Games Bangladesh, President Cup Indonesia and Benazir Bhutto International Tournament.
For his current fight, Wasim took special training from USA and Japan for 2 months. In 2015, M Wasim knocked-out his opponent during his first professional fight.
