Paris, Russian Tennis star, Maria Sharapova criticized over the Federation Cup and she declared it futile. This is the event, which can give way to the players to represent their countries in the Olympic Games. She debuted in the London Olympics in 2012 and she won the silver medal in the women’s single competitions. To participate in the Olympics, the players have to participate in the federation cup at least for the three times in the games duration of 4 years.
To ensure her participation in the Reo games, Maria will have to face the problems and she looks cross over it. She shared the victory for her country, Russia against Poland in February this year. But she was not the member of the team in the semi final victory of her country against Germany in April because of her leg injury. There is another scheduled final match against Democratic Czech during November and there is still a question mark against her participation in the match. In the second round of French Open, she got the victory and she talked with media and said that Federation cup is futile.
She said that she participated in these competitions and she wants to participate in these matches but she can face problems as she has very tight schedule. Although she wants to become the member of the team, yet she is also against it. She further added that she did not understand that the people, who made the schedule of the Federation cup keep this thing before them that the players play various other events besides the Grand Salam.
Maria has very tight schedule and she did the debut in the Federation cup in 2008 and since then she represented her country for only 4 times. She said that the organizers do not understand that the players can be fatigued mentally and physically. They change the schedule of their matches soon after the management of Grand Salam.
