Lahore, Pakistan Cricket Board decided to conduct the national twenty20 cup 2017 and all of the national players were called to come back to Pakistan to play the national event. This national event was going to start from 25 august and the fitness test was started from 22 August 2017 and the event was started in Multan. The players came back to Pakistan to play this national event, but a question mark is put on it.
Various Pakistani players were playing the Caribbean league and English county leagues and PCB asked them to reach Pakistan. These national players left the international events and they face huge financial loss. According to the fresh situation in Pakistan, the players are angry with the policy of PCB. The fitness test will be started from 22 August and after that the foreign coach, Mickey Arthur will leave to his country and he will spend some vacations in his homeland and after that he will reach to Pakistan once again. PCB gives the chance to the national coach to enjoy with the vacations and delays the national event. It was decided that the national T20 cup would be started from 25 August in Multan and the preparations have been stopped in Multan. This national event can be delayed to November but the sources of PCB said that the decision will be made within one or two days.
PCB asked the administration of Faisalabad to make the arrangements from 04 September to 19 September. PCB announced the complete schedule of the national T20 cup and they also announced the teams. According to that schedule, the event was going to start from 25 August in Multan till 31 August and next stage of the event would be played in Faisalabad from 04 September to 10 September. The national players, who were playing the Caribbean premier league in West Indies and county cricket in UK, came back to Pakistan and they are ready for the fitness test. Shoaib Malik, Wahab Riaz, Babar Azam, Hasan Ali, Shadab Khan, Imad Waseem and Muhammad Hafeez were playing the Caribbean Premiere League while Sarfaraz Ahmed, Muhammad Amir, Junaid Khan and Fakhar Zaman were playing the County cricket in England.
