Lahore, the 16 members national cricket team has been announced to play the test matches against England and Ireland. Sarfaraz Ahmed will lead the national team and the team will play three test matches against England and Ireland. The national cricket team will comprise of the players like Sarfaraz Ahmed (captain), Azhar Ali, Fakhar Zaman, Imam ul Haq, Sami Aslam, Babar Azam, Haris Sohail, Asad Shafique, Salah ud Din, Saad Ali, Hassan Ali, Shadab Khan, Faheem Ashraf, Muhammad Amir, Rahat Ali and Muhammad Abbas.

The first phase of the camp in the Gaddafi Stadium has been completed and in the second phase, the 16 member team will start their practice in the stadium from 18 April 2018. The national cricket team will leave for England on 23 April 2018 and it will play the first test match against Ireland from 11 May 2018 and the national cricket team will also play the two test matches against England during this series.
