Pakistan played its only one T20I match against England on 07 September and it ended the tour to England. Pakistan team won the only one T20I match with nine wicket victory over hosts in the match, which was played at Manchester on Wednesday. England won the toss and it decided to bat first. Alex Hales and Jason Roy started the opening of the English batting line and it scored 56 runs in the first wicket partnership but they could not continue this performance till the last ball of the inning and English team managed to score only 135 runs in 20 allotted overs.
Various Pakistani bowlers were successful during their bowling in which Wahab Riaz claimed three wickets for just 18 runs in four overs while Imad Waseem and newly debutant, Hassan Ali claimed two wickets each. Muhammad Amer and Sohail Tanvir could not get any wicket.
When Pakistan started its batting, Khalid Latif opened the inning with Sharjeel Khan and both the players took the match to over 100 runs. Sharjeel Khan scored 59 runs and Adil Rashid bowled him out. Khalid Latif also scored 59 runs and Babar Azam scored 15 runs and remained not out. In this way, Pakistan managed to win this only one T20I match by nine wickets. The bowling attack of Pakistan was good and English batsmen could not score high against the Pakistani bowlers.
Man-of-the match is Wahab Riaz: Wahab Riaz was declared the man of the match of this only one T20I match as he grabbed three wickets on just 18 runs. He said that they wanted to put English team under pressure. They bowled in good areas and they grabbed more wickets and gave less runs to the host team. The wicket was slow and they also bowled slow deliveries and the captain also led the team from the front and this was the good tour for both the teams.
