Pakistan Defeats New Zealand in Test Hockey


Pakistan levels the hockey series against New Zealand by winning the match 4-2 due to superb hat-trick by Abu Bakr.

The match was played in Wellington, New Zealand in which Pakistan adopted attacking style from start and Pakistani captain Abdul Haseem Khan scored a goal on penalty corner in the 6th minute of the match.

In the start of 2nd half, M Abu Bakr increases the Pakistani lead 2-0 after scoring a goal. The lead becomes 3-0 when Abu Bakr scored another goal on penalty corner.

Kiwi player scored 1st goal from New Zealand in the 45th minute of match on penalty corner. In 53rd minute, Abu Bakr scored his third and took the Pakistani lead to 4-1. After few seconds, Kiwi player scored another goal and the final score became 4-2.

In the 1st match, New Zealand defeated Pakistan 3-2 while the 2nd match remained draw.
