Toss and Pitch

Pakistan won the toss, Sarfraz and the other players decided to bat first on a slow pitch and make a respectable target for the guest team.

1st Innings

2nd Innings

Srilanka had to chase 220 at the rate of 4.38 runs per over, at the place where the average first inning total is 254.

The last wicket was a run out by Roman raees and Pakistan won by 32 runs, going on the top in the series by 2-0. Tharanga went not out and Shahdab took 3 wickets for 47 runs.

Babar Azam the run machine once again topped the record book, becoming the fastest to make 7 ODi centuries in just 33 innings, breaking the record of Hashim Amla, who achieved this by doing in 44 innings.

His 1659 runs in 33 innings are just second to Amla’s 1715 in the same number of innings. The talented opener has scored 7 tons in September last year.

He now has an average of 5.20 second only to Ryan ten Doeschate 67.0 for players with over 1000 runs.
