Dublin, Pakistan defeated Ireland in the historical Cricket test match against Ireland by 5 wickets. The match was played in Dublin and Ireland gave the target of 160 runs to Pakistan to win this test match on the final day of the first ever test match of Ireland. Pakistan achieved the target for the loss of 5 wickets. Imam ul Haq scored 74 runs and Babar Azam made 59 runs and both the batsmen contributed in the victory of Pakistani cricket team.

Azhar Ali and Imam Ul Haq started the second inning against Ireland but Pakistan faced the first loss, when Azhar Ali was caught out at just 2 runs and the following batsman, Haris Sohail also lost his wicket early after making only 7 runs. Asad Shafiq, who showed wonderful performance in the first inning, he was also bowled out on only1 runs and at this stage, Pakistan lost three early wickets at just 14 runs.

Shadab Khan was the new batsman and he supported Imam ul Haq at this critical moment and both the players got the target and brought Pakistan to the victory stage. Pakistan won the match by 5 wickets and Imam ul Haq remained not out on 74 runs and he proved that his selection for the test squad was right.

Before this, Ireland finished its inning on 339 total score and it gave the target of 160 runs to Pakistan. Muhammad Abbas got 5 wickets in the second inning while Muhammad Amir took 3 wickets and Shadab Khan got 1 wicket. On the last day, when Ireland started its inning, it scored 319 runs on the loss of 7 wickets and Kevin O’Brien was caught out without adding any run in his overnight score. Muhammad Abbas bowled out Rankin on 6 and Tyron Kane was the last player, who was declared out on 339 runs. He scored only 14 runs.

In this first and historical test match, Pakistan scored 310 runs during the first inning and it was declared on 310/9. Ireland started the first inning and the whole team was declared out at only 130 runs and it has to follow on in the second inning.
