Lahore, The selectors of the national cricket team handed over the list of the 20 players to the Pakistan cricket board, who will play the one day series against West Indies.
According to media, there is great pressure over the selectors and players after the shameful defeat against England in the recent ODI series. Now the national cricket team will play the one day international cricket matches against West Indies. The series will be started with the first T20i cricket match, which will be played on 23 September against West Indies in UAE and the selectors have completed the selection of the 20 players through their mutual consultation and they handed over this list to the board. The experienced batsman, Muhammad Hafeez is not fit yet and his name is not included in the list of the 20 players.
On the other side, some senior players held Azhar Ali responsible for defeat in the one day international matches against England but they had to lick the dirt as the board management called a spade a spade that Azhar Ali will do the captaincy of the national team against West Indies in the one day international cricket series. So the board will complete the consultation with him to make a good team.
Ex Captain Waseem Akram and Shahid Afridi and large number of the ex cricketers gave advice to the board not to change captain of the national team. The captain Azhar Ali also has the support of the coach, Mickie Arthur. The national team will play three Twenty20I matches, three ODIs and three test matches against West Indies and the series will be started from 23 September and the guest team has already reached in Dubai.
