The ignored players in central contract are dejected as they could not get more than praises after scoring lots of runs in domestic cricket.
Umar Akmal made selectors unhappy by traveling to England instead of improving his fitness in high performance camp but Fawad Alam, Khurram Manzoor, Imran Khan, Sohail Tanvir, Adnan Akmal, Sahibzada Farhan, Tabish Khan and Sadaf Hussain were also ignored in central contract without giving any reason.
Chief selector Inzamam ul Haq’s nephew Imam ul Haq is included in the contract after scoring 3 first class 100s in the previous season but Fawad Alam and Khurram Manzoor are not included in any category while both have scored 20 centuries each.
On the other hand, Sahibzada Farhan scored 331 runs in the 5 matches of Pakistan Cup which his performance was also praised by Chairman PCB and chief selector but he is also not included in the central contract. Bilal Asif took 5 wickets in 4 matches of Pakistan Cup while his bowling action is also suspicious but he was included in “D” category. Umar Ameen is also included in the contract despite remain continuous out of Pakistan national team.
Iftikhar Ahmed and Imran Khan remained contract less despite showing performance while Rahat Ali remained in the contract despite being declared unfit few months ago. Sohail Tanvir is selected as expensive bowler in different T20 leagues in the world but he is not included in the contract while he is called for the team when required. This situation is creating dejection among the ignored players.
