Pakistan Cricket Board is considering to give the invitation to Kenya players to play the series of limited over matches in Pakistan. PCB is going to get this step to invite Kenya team to play against Pakistan A to break the isolation of cricket in Pakistan.
Before this, the Sri Lankan team toured Pakistan in March 2009, in which they were attacked and since then no major tournament or series of International cricket has been conducted. Now it is said that Kenya is taking interest in playing the series in Pakistan and PCB is going to host the matches against Kenya on November 20 and 29 for the series of One Day International matches.
Before this, PCB started talking with Ireland to come to Pakistan to play the limited over cricket series and they were also willing to tour to Pakistan in September. In June, terrorists attacked on the Karachi airport and around its surrounding, which toppled the proposition of PCB. The cricket board has also started discussion with Sri Lankan cricket board to tour to Pakistan in the beginning of this year and this discussion is still continued. Both countries are discussing the scheme to play the cricket series in Pakistan. The discussions are still carried out and there is plan to play the series of one day cricket later this month.
It is also said that they want to tour to Pakistan and they are taking keen interest in coming Pakistan and play the series of limited over cricket. They have also made up their minds that Pakistan and Sri Lanka should play the series of one day cricket match in the last week of November.
PCB also started the negotiations under the guidance of the former chairman of PCB, Zaka Ashraf to play the home series with Bangladesh but it turned down the offer of the home series against Pakistan to play the limited over cricket series.
The new elected chairman of PCB, Shaharyar Khan has done the tour of all three Asian full members of International cricket, India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka and they assured these countries that the security situation in Pakistan is improved and these countries should think to start their tour to Pakistan. PCB has also offered the security assessment team to these countries.
