Sana Mir Announces to Leave Captaincy of National Women Team

Lahore, The captain of Pakistani women cricket team, Sana Mir announced her retirement from the international cricket and decided to leave the captaincy of the national women cricket team.

She released an open letter on the social media and she criticized the secret report of the coach Sabeeh Azhar released in the media and said that she has great conflict with the coach for not including Diana Baig in the national team. The pacer was in good form and she wanted to make her the member of the women team. She did not have any repentance on her decisions. The women national team lost 4 certain matches during the world cup. The spinners, especially left arm spinners bowled well against the top order batsmen with the new ball. There was few number of players in the team, who can perform in the extreme pressure.

Sana Mir further said that it was her preference that she did not want to talk in media. When the secret report of the coach, Sabeeh Azhar appeared on the scene and the comments of the GM Women Wings and chairman PCB, she adopted this way to release her open letter in the social media. She said that she cannot work on any position with the present set up. When she will return back in the country at the end of August, she will present detailed report for the improvement of women cricket in the country.
