According to details, 21 grand slam title winner Serena Williams is still on top position according to the latest ranking by World Tennis Federation.
There is no reduction in the points of 33 year old American star despite her absence from Swedish Open due to injury. Recently, she defeated Garbian Magroza in Wimbledon singles title after which her points increased to 13109. Russian star Maria Sharapova is at 2nd spot with 6490 points. Romanian Simona Halep and Petra Kvitova of Czech Republic are behind them.
Denmark’s Caroline Wozniacki, Serbian Ana Ivanovic, Lucie Safarova of Czech Republic, Spanish Garbine Muguruza and Carla Suarez Navarro have retained their positions from 6th to 10th positions respectively. Serena’s sister Venice Williams is at 15th position.
On the other side in men’s ranking, there is no change in the first 7 positions. Novak Djokovic is at 1st spot with 13845 points. The positions to 2nd to 7th are grabbed by Swiss Roger Federer, Englishman Andy Murray, Swiss Stan Wawrinka, Japanese Kei Nishikori, Tomas Berdych of Czech Republic and Spanish David Ferrer respectively.
Croatian Marin Cilic and Spanish Rafael Nadal improved their positions by one spot and reached at 8th and 9th positions respectively. Canadian Milos Raonic dropped two positions and now he is at the 10th spot.
