Shahid Afridi announced retirement after ICC world cup 2015

Famous Pakistani all-rounder Shahid Afridi has announced to retire from one day cricket after world cup 2015.

Shahid Afridi, born in Khyber Agency on 1st March 1980, played his first match for Pakistan against Kenya in Nairobi on 2nd October 1996 and later achieved fame as ‘boom boom’. Shahid Afridi said that he will leave one day cricket after 2015 world cup in Australia & New Zealand and will only play T20 cricket. He said he likes to join politics but his elders are against the idea.

Shahid Afridi scored fastest century in ODI in just 37 balls. Afridi has also hit 342 sixes in ODIs which are highest. So far, Shahid Afridi has scored 7870 runs and took 391 wickets in 389 one day matches. Apart from that, Shahid Afridi has also played 27 tests and 77 T20 matches for Pakistan.
