Shahid Afridi donates Rs. 2 million for Jinnah Hospital


National T20 cricket captain Shahid Afridi showed his concerns while visiting Jinnah Hospital and also granted Rs. 2 million for the hospital during that visit. He said that he is feeling sorrow due to absence of basic facilities to the patients while the role of government in this matter is negligible. He visited the ward of patients suffering from food poisoning on invitation of an NGO.

He said while talking to journalists that he was surprised to see that even basic facilities in Jinnah Hospital are sparse while it is the service of humanity to provide better medical facilities to the poor patients. He is shocked to know about the problems faced by the patients in the hospital. Medical facility is right of every citizen.

He said Jinnah Hospital requires special support while government should play its role in this respect. Prosperous people and organizations should also help in providing good medical facilities. Prior to that, Shahid Afridi also met the patients and distributed gifts among them. Shaid also donated Rs. 2 million to the foundation of his own name for recovery of patients and betterment of ward.
