Sharjeel Spot Fixing Crime

Lahore, Various Pakistani players were found involved in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) in which Sharjeel Khan is also included in the spot fixing case. The case was run against him and he was found involved in the spot fixing case and he was banned for five years.

The three member tribunal headed by the Justice (retired) Asghar haider and other members were General (retired) Touqeer Zia and ex captain of Pakistani cricket team, Wasim Bari and they announced the decision of the PSL spot fixing case and they banned Sharjeel Khan for five years.

The cases like meeting with the suspected people under the 5 sections of the anti corruption code, not informing the PCB and receiving the amount for showing bad performance and took the money, were proved against him. Now the cricketer is banned for five years and he cannot play the national and international cricket during this period. The ban is affected from 10 February 2017 and he will be banned for 2 and ½ years and next 2 and ½ years, they will be kept under strict observation.

Muhammad Irfan is involved in the spot fixing scandal and he has been awarded the punishment of ban of one month while the cases against Khalid Latif, Shahzab Hassan and the accused of facilitating, Nasir Jamshed are under hearing in the tribunal and it is expected that the decisions of the cases against these cricketers will be announced after Eid.
