He played 11 one day international matches, in which he scored 500 runs with the strike rate of 114.41. He scored one century and 3 fifties and he remained not out in 6 innings. He was declared the man of the series in tour to Zimbabwe.
He started his one day international career on 14 October 1999 and played 227 ODI matches and he scored 5990 runs with the average of 34.62 runs and he also took 147 wickets.
