In ODI and Test Cricket, Virat Kohli is the nearest competitor to the Babar, who is ranked at the top position. However, he is ranked at 9th in T20I rankings with 673 rating points. The next challenge of the Babar would be jump to top of the remaining two formats to replace Virat Kohli.

After his century at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on Sunday, the 25-year-old has now entered the top 10 Test batsmen in the ICC rankings list after the completion of Pakistan – Sri Lanka and Australia – New Zealand Test matches.

Now, Babar Azam is at 9^th postion in test match rankings, 3rd in ODI rankings and 1st in the T20I rankings. The only other player in all three lists is Virat Kohli who is leading both the Tests and ODIs lists. David Warner, Rohit Sharma, Joe Root, and Kane Williamson are currently included in

the top 10 batsmen in two different formats.

Previously, Indian skipper, Virat Kohli set the record of the fastest 1000 runs in just 27 T20i matches but now Pakistani leading player, Babar Azam has set the new world record of making one thousand runs in just 26 overs. Pakistani talented batsman has reached to this milestone in the third T20i match of the series against New Zealand in Dubai International Cricket stadium.

When the third and last T20i matches was going to be started between Pakistan v New Zealand in UAE, Babar Azam needed 48 runs to reach to this record. International cricket council has released the new rankings of the batsmen and bowlers in the T20, according to which the talented batsman, Babar Azam won the title of ‘Man of the Series’ in this T20i series and he was upgraded by two steps and reached to the top position in the T20i ranking. Before this, the Australian captain, Aeron Finch was on the top position and now he is demoted to the second position. In the top ten batsmen after these two players, Lokesh Rahul is on the third position, Colin Munroe is on 4^th, Fakhar Zaman is on the 5^th position, Martin Guptill is on the 6^th position, Glenn Maxwell is on 7^th , Alex Hales on 8^th , Jason Roy on 9^th and Rohit Sharma on the 10^th position.

In the position of top ten bowlers, Rashid Khan of Afghanistan is on the top position while Pakistani spinner, Shadab Khan is on the second position. After them, the bowlers like Ish Sodhi, Yuzvendra Chahal, Adil Rashid, Mitchell Santner, Samuel Badree, Imran Tahir, Billy Stanlake and Imad Wasim are present from three to tenth position respectively. Pakistani bowlers, Faheem Ashraf is on the 16^th position and Hassan Ali is on the 21^st position.
