The winner of 8^th ICC Champions’ Trophy, to be played in England and Wales, will get $22,00, 000 as prize while the runner up team will achieve $1100, 000 prize money. The collective prize money of this tournament has been increased up to $45, 00,000.

The prize money for 2013 edition was $40, 00,000. The semi finalist teams will get $450,000. ICC has decided to give $90,000 to the team came 3^rd in its group while the team on last position will get $60,000.

First match of the event will be played between host team England and Bangladesh on 1^st June 2017 in Oval. Pakistan will play its first match on 4^th June against India in Edgbaston (Birmingham). Final match of the tournament will be played on 18^th June 2017 in Oval.

The president of Indian Cricket Board, Anuragh Thakur told the media that Indian Supreme court demanded the reforms, which were presented by the Lodha Commission and this commission will deprived of India to participate in the event of Champions Trophy, which will be conducted in England next year.

They impose ban on the players not to play cricket for 15 days and the main aim of this ban is to give the rest to the players. BCCI also said that due to gap before and after the IPL event, they will have to face huge financial losses and they also face problems in scheduling their cricket calendar. He further added that they will have to give the rest of 15 days before and after the IPL in the light of Lodha Commission.

The Indian cricket has to play the series before IPL and after that they will have to play the Champions Trophy. In the current situation, they will have to make the selection of one event from IPL and Champions Trophy. BCCI conducted the important meeting in which they reject various important recommendations and the judge of Indian Supreme Court showed his anger. The Indian cricket board will submit a report in the court during the hearing on 06 October.

It is to be clear that Lodha commission gave the suggestion that 15 days after Indian Premier League, 2017, the players may not be allowed to play any match. The Indian cricket board opposed the suggestion. Just few days after the final of IPL, the Champions Trophy will be started from 01 June. If the board acts up the present order, then it will not participate in the ICC event.
