Now the players, who are involved in the spot fixing scandal, they are facing many problems in this case and they got away from the cricket ground. The players like Sharjeel Khan, Khalid Latif, Muhammad Irfan, Shahzab Hassan and Nasir Jamshed are involved in the spot fixing scam and these players are suspended from the cricket. FIA called on these suspended players for further investigation and the players will get record their statements with reference to the spot fixing. The sources also said that Muhammad Irfan, Shahzab Hassan and Nasir Jamshed will get record their statement in Cyber Crime Cell and Sharjeel Khan and Khalid Latif will present before the cell on 21 March.

Federal Investigation Agency  wrote a letter to the Ministry of Interior to include the names of the suspended players and the under investigation players in the spot fixing scandal and it is hoped that the names of all players will be included in the ECL in coming 48 hours. The head of FIA Punjab, Dr Usman and the investigation officer wrote a letter to the Ministry of Interior and said that this is very important investigation at the national level and the national dignity is attached with this case. FIA called the suspended players including Muhammad Irfan, Shahzeb Hassan, Khalid Latif, Sharjeel Khan and Nasir Jamshed on 20 and 21 March to carry out their investigation, so their names should be included in the ECL.

Both the cricketers were suspended due to their contacts with suspicious people. Both the cricketers of Islamabad United have already been sent home but there are reports that Sharjeel Ahmed received Rs. 500,000 from buckeye for getting out earlier while Khalid Latif was also ready but he could not get the chance to play.

The sources told that PCB has already made confessional video of both the players and charge sheet can be presented on Tuesday. They will be given a chance to prove their innocence. In case of not accepting the crime, the case can run for a month after which the decision of the case will come.

On the other hand, both cricketers are blaming each other and said that they were trapped and arranged their meeting with the suspicious person. But the PCB has admittance video along with Whatsapp messages and other proves. According to PCB anti-corruption code, there is punishment of 6 months to life ban on not reporting suspicious contact and life ban on match fixing. Other players were released after giving them benefit of doubt. Two among these told about ACU about the suspicious contact but it was done in order to save themselves after coming forward of Khalid and Sharjeel’s case.

Apart from that, pictures of UK-based stated buckeye Yousuf are present with several ‘big stars’. Few former cricketers are thought to be very close to him. When PCB asked from them, the cricketers replied that they meet several fans every day and they don’t know about their profession.

On the other hand, ACU has stressed on franchises to strictly implement curfew time. Prior to that, many players were roaming outside till late night but some change is evident after this scandal.

PCB has signed the contract agreement with the players for the period from 01 October 2016 to 30 June 2017. There are seven players, who are placed in the A category and they are Sarfaraz Ahmed, Misbah ul Haq, Yasir Shah, Shoaib Malik, Muhammad Hafeez, Azhar Ali and Younis Khan. There are four players, who are placed in the B category and they are Muhammad Aamer, Wahab Riaz, Rahat Ali and Asad Shafique.
In the C category of the central contract of PCB, there are Muhammad Rizwan, Sohail Khan, Babar Azam, Haris Sohail, Sami Aslam, Muhammad Nawaz, Imran Khan Senior, Khalid Latif, Sharjeel Khan, Sohail Tanveer, Shan Masood, Muhammad Irfan, Imad Waseem and Hassan Ali. In the D category, there are total five players and they are Anwar Akmal, Umar Akmal, Zulfiqar Babar, Ahmed Shahzad and Muhammad Asghar.
