The PCB sources said that PCB would announce the schedule of the series very soon. Upal Tharanga was the captain of Sri Lankan one day team but after the defeat in all five one day international matches against India, his name has been dropped from the 25 member test squad of Sri Lanka. It is said that he wanted to concentrate on the international one day cricket matches.

The expected Sri Lankan players are Dimuth Koronaratne, Kushal Silva, Kushal Mandis, Denish Chandimal, captain Angelo Mathews, Thirimane, Niroshan Dickwella, Sudera Samara Vickrama, Rangana Herath, Suranga Lakmal and Novan Pradeep.

There are some other players of Sri Lankan cricket team, who are Laxin Sandakan, Vishua Fernando, Lahiro Kumara, Geofry Winderse, Malinda Siriwardene, Dhanan Jia DeSilva, Dushmantha Chamira, Dilruwan Parera, Malinda Pushpa Kumara, Roshan Silva, Akela Dananjia, Charith Aslanka, Chamindra Aranga and Dhamika Prasad.

Pakistan and Sri Lanka will play one T20i match in Lahore also during their Twenty 20 series.
