Umar Akmal in T20I Squad Against West Indies

Umar Akmal is the leading Pakistan batsman and he has made the comeback in the national team. He is playing the domestic cricket and he showed some tremendous performance in the domestic season for Lahore Whites in the currently playing National T20 cup.

The young and talented players was out of the team due to some discipline issues but his recent performances compelled the selectors to made the decision in his favor to include in the three T20i against West Indies in the UAE.

The left arm pacer, Rumman Raees and right handed middle order batsman, Saad Naseem were also selected in the 15 man squad for the series against West Indies, which will be started from 23 September. The chief selector, Inzamam ul Haq has finalized the team and he made the consultation with the head coach of Pakistan cricket team, Mickey Arthur and the T20I captain, Sarfaraz Ahmed.

Pakistan cricket board has already announced the complete detail of the tour against West Indies in which Pakistan cricket team will play three test matches, three one day international matches and three T20i matches and the series will be started from 23 September. After the T20I matches, the one day matches will be started and finally, test matches will be played between these two teams.

The squad for T20I has been announced, which is comprised of the players Sarfaraz Ahmed (captain), Sharjeel Khan, Babar Azam, Khalid Latif, Umar Akmal, Mohammad Rizwan, Shoaib Malik, Saad Naseem, Imaad Waseen, Wahab Riaz, Muhammad Nawaz, Sohail Tanveer, Mohammad Amer, Hassan Ali and Rumman Raees.
