Pakistani cricket team’s middle order batsman Umar Akmal has once again demanded to provide him chance to play in top order. Umar Akmal said that batting order is very important for any batsman. He is always compared with Indian batsman Virat Kohli but batting order is not kept in front.
Recently in PSL, Umar Akmal scored 66 runs on 42 balls with help of 8 fours and 3 sixes and played important role in Lahore Qalandars’ victory against defending champions Islamabad United.
He said after the match that batting order is not seen while making comparison between him and Virat Kohli. Since start of his career, he is batting at number 6 while Kohli is batting at 3rd position since start of his career. He demanded a chance to bat at number 3 and he should be asked if he could not perform at that position. The performance of Virat Kohli will also be affected if his batting position is number 6.
It should be remembered that Umar Akmal has demanded in change of his batting position several times.
