West Indies defeated Pakistan in the quarter final match of U-19 world cup. The quarter final match between the two teams was played in the Khan Sahib Ali Usman Stadium of Bangladeshi city of Fatah Ullah during which West Indies achieved the target of 228 runs by Pakistan in 40 overs at the loss of 5 wickets. Tevin Imlach and S Hetmyer scored fifties for West Indian team. They scored 54 and 52 runs respectively. Sameen Gul, Ahmed Shafiq and Shadab Khan took one wicket each from Pakistan.

Initially, Pakistan decided to bat first after winning the toss which proved unsuccessful as Pakistan lost 5 wickets for just 57 runs. Later, Umair Usman and Salman Fiaz batted well and took the score to 221 with their partnership of 164. Umair Masood scored 113 runs with 2 sixes and 15 fours while Salman Fiaz also score 58 runs due to which Pakistan scored 227 runs after 50 overs. Chemar Holder took 2 wickets from West Indian side.
