Younis Khan Attains 2nd Position in ICC Test Ranking

International Cricket Council (ICC) has released new test ranking of players in which Pakistani experienced batsman Younis Khan has come to 2nd position after advancing two positions while Yasir Shah has advanced one level to claim 5th position in bowlers’ ranking.

According to the test ranking of players released by ICC, Australian batsman Steven Smith is on top position while Younis Khan has advanced from 4th to 2nd position after scoring 127 runs against West Indies and Joe Root is at 3rd spot. Apart from that, Misbah ul Haq is at 10th spot, Azhar Ali at 12 and Asad Shafiq is at 14th position. Indian star batsman Virat Kohli is at 17th position.

In bowling, Indian R Ashwin is at 1st position while Pakistani leg spinner Yasir Shah has advanced to 5th position after taking 10 wickets against West Indies. England’s S Broad is also at 5th spot while Sri Lanka’s R Herath is at 4th spot with just 2 points more than both of them.

It should be cleared that it is the best position of Younis Khan after his 1st position in March 2009. In July 2009, Younis achieved the 2nd position previously.
