There are various championships which are quite popular among people and are seen in almost all parts of the world. The other name of football is soccer which is used in modern language. The world cup tournament of football is liked by most of the people of the world. There are various types of game which are related with football like Canadian football, association football, Australian Rules football, American football, rugby union, rugby league and Gaelic football and all these unions are called football codes.

The football league was established in England from which it becomes the first of many professional competitions of football. The governing body of football is FIFA which stands for Federation of International Football Association. The governing body, FIFA organized football world cup which held after every four years. Before this, there is a qualifying round in which teams of about 200 countries participate and then 32 teams are selected for the football world cup. These teams played various rounds in the football world cup and then the top two teams play the final of the tournament which is watched by about 5 billion people around the globe.
