The schedule of Azlan Shah Hockey Tournament has been announced, which will be played this year. The name of Pakistan is dropped from the teams, which will play this tournament this year. The management of Azlan Shah Tournament included the name of UK team in their event.

This event of Azlan Shah Hockey Tournament will be played among six teams in Epoh, Malaysia from 27 April and the final of the event will be played on 6 May. According to the management of the event, the teams of Australia, New Zealand, UK, Japan, Indian and host Malaysia are finalized to play in this event. Pakistan Hockey Federation wrote a letter to Asian Hockey Federation that the event management should include the name of Pakistan in this event. They opted that Pakistan has been playing this event of Azlan Shah Hockey Tournament since its beginning so the name of Pakistan should be included in this event. Last year, Pakistan got fifth position out of seven teams in Azlan Shah Hockey tournament.

Pakistan Defeats Japan 4-1 In Azlan Shah Hockey Cup

Pakistan defeated Japan 4-1 which is the 2^nd victory for Pakistan in Azlan Shah Hockey Tournament. Malaysian city Ipoh hosted this match of 25^th Azlan Shah Hockey Tournament. Arslan Qadir scored two goals while Ali Shan and Rizwan Ali scored 1 goal each from Pakistan team. No team could score a goal in the first quarter and the first goal from Pakistan was scored in the 20^th minute of 2^nd half by Ali Shan. After 4 minutes, Rizwan Ali scored 2^nd goal from Pakistan. Japan took a penalty corner after few minutes but could not convert it in to goal due to which the 2^nd quarter ended with 2-0 in favor of Pakistan.

At 48^th minute in 3^rd quarter, Japan scored its 1^st goal on penalty corner. 3^rd goal from Pakistan was scored by Arslan Qadir during the same half. Just 3 minutes before the end of the match, Arslan scored 4^th goal from Pakistan which proved decisive and the match ended with 4-1 goal with success for Pakistan. In the whole tournament, Arslan Qadir has scored 6 goals.

Pakistan could win only 2 out of its total 6 matches and tomorrow Pakistan will play the match for 5^thposition in the tournament.

Ipoh, Azlan Shah Hockey Tournament is being played in Malaysia and in this tournament about seven teams are participated. Pakistan played two matches and lost the both of the matches. Now India vs Pakistan hockey match is going to be played in Ipoh, Malaysia on 12 April. Both the teams have participated in this tournament many time and India won 5 times while Pakistan won 3 times. Both the teams are in good forms and they can show best performance in this tournament and they will try to survive in this match. Pakistan team has new and talented players and they are able to show their performance in this match.
