The leading Pakistani opener, Fakhar Zaman assisted him during the inning and he completed his quick fifty by scoring 52 runs on just 30 balls. Babar played aggressively and he hit 13 fours and 2 sixes during his inning with the striking rate of 160.31. He helped Pakistani team to take the total to 200/6 in just 20 allotted overs. The opening batsman, Azhar Ali was given out on 11 runs on the ball of Andersen. Haris Sohail could make 8 runs while Asad Shafique made only 5 runs and he was caught behind by wicket keeper Bairstow on the ball of Stuart Broad. The first three wickets were fallen on only 42 runs and after that Imam ul Haq and Usman Salah Uddin developed the partnership of 42 runs and they could reach the total to 84 runs. Then Imam ul Haq was given out at 34 runs on the ball of Dominic Bess. Sarfarz Ahmed made 8 runs, Shadab Khan made 4 runs and Faheem Ashraf scored only 3 runs. Pakistan started its second inning but the opening batsmen could not control the inning and Pakistani team was out at 134 runs for all and Pakistan lost the match by an inning and 55 runs. When the second test match at Headingly, Leeds was started on 01 June, Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat first, which was very crucial decision. Pakistani batting line faced the problems in its beginning and whole of the Pakistani team scored 174 runs and they went back to pavilion. Imam ul Haq scored none and Azhar Ali could make 2 runs. After the failure of the opening batsmen, Haris Sohail and Asad Shafique showed some resistance but both the batsmen could make 28 and 27 runs respectively. Captain Safaraz Ahmed scored 14 runs and Muhammad Amir made 13 runs while Faheem Ashraf could not open his account. When the score reached to 87 runs, Haris Sohail was got out and he scored 39 runs. Azhar Ali completed his 50 and he was also declared out. Babar Azam and Asad Shafique made the partnership of 82 runs and Asad completed his 59 runs and returned to the pavilion. Captain Sarfaraz Ahmed could not impress by his batting and he was got out on only 9 runs. Babar Azam completed his fifty and when he reached his individual total of 68 runs, he got injured on the ball of Ben Stokes and he was forced to retired hurt as he could not continue his batting.

London, Pakistan v England first test match is being played at Lords, London and Pakistani cricket team is batting during the first inning. During the first test match against England, Babar Azam batted well and he remained the top scorer with 68 runs not out. Lahore, International Cricket Council has declared the bowling action of Pakistan spinner, Muhammad Hafeez clear and now he is allowed to bowl in the international matches. ICC has issued the notification that the bio-mechanic test of Muhammad Hafeez was conducted on 17 April in the Liphbro University, England and curve of the arm during all of the bowled balls were found within the legal limit of 45 degree. Reporting again within 2 years, he will have to face the ban for 12 months. The videos of the correct action will be provided to the officials of the match for the strict supervision.

Muhammad Hafeez thanked the supporters for supporting him in the difficult time and said that he will contribute in the victory of Pakistan as the all rounder. Moreover, the West Indian pacer, Runsford Baten was failed in the test and he will bowl after getting the clearance in the next analysis. For the first time, the bowling action of Muhammad Hafeez was declared suspicious during the test series being played in November 2014 and he was allowed to bowl in April 2015. When his bowling action was reported for the second time, he was banned for 12 months. After the improvement in the bowling action, he was allowed to bowl in November 2016.
