Chittagong, Pakistani stars performed well in the Bangladesh Premiere League. Shahid Afridi and Shoaib Malik showed their tremendous performances and they contributed in the victories of their teams. Shahid Afridi showed the all rounder performance and his team, Rangpur Riders defeated the opponent team, Khulna Titians by 7 wickets. He took two wickets and after that he scored 26 runs on just 20 deliveries. Rangpur Riders achieved the target in the 19th over on the loss of just 3 wickets, Mithun scored 49 runs and the opener Muhammad Shahzad scored 37 runs. Junaid Khan claimed one wicket for 23 wickets.
Afridi won the best player of the match award for the second time and he became the successful bowler of the present edition by taking 11 wickets in just matches. The opponent team scored 125 runs in just 20 over and set the target of 126 runs for the other team to chase it.
In the second match, Chittagong Vikings defeated Barisal Hills by 78 runs. The winning side scored 185 runs on the loss of 5 wickets. Shoaib Malik scored 63 runs and Dawyne Smith scored 69 runs but their opponent team scored only 107 runs. Shoaib Malik and Imran Khan claimed one wicket each.
