Aus Beat Pak by 39 Runs in First Test

Australia beat Pakistan by 39 runs in the first test match of the current tour to Australia series. This was the first day and night test match, which was being played between Australia and Pakistan in Brisbane at Gaba. When the match started on the final day, Pakistan needed 108 runs while Australia was 2 wickets away from their win.

The Australian pacer, Mitchell Starc played the important role in breaking the partnership between Asad Shafique and Yasir Shah, which was 71 runs. Asad could not handle the bouncer from Starc and it took the edge of the bat and went to the safe hands of Warner and in this way, he was dismissed on 137 runs, which was the turning point of this fourth innings. Pakistan played brilliantly in the fourth innings and it is doing the wonderful chase of 490 runs but the inning of Pakistani side was ended at 450, about 40 runs away from the target, which was the great disappointment for Pakistani team and nation.

Yasir Shah was the last wicket, who was run out on 33 runs by the direct throw of Australian captain, Steve Smith. Pakistan scored 450 runs in the fourth innings, which is the highest ever fourth innings score in Australia. Asad Shafique played the wonderful inning of 137 runs, which is the brilliant and record ninth ton of the batsman at the six number batting. He also played the brilliant inning with Muhammad Aamer, which was 92 runs partnership and Aamer scored 48 runs. He played with Wahab Riaz to make 66 runs in their partnership and with Yasir Shah for 71 runs partnership. Australia is leading in this series by 1-0 in the three test series.
