It has been revealed through the report of the Justice Mudgal committee, which was conducted for the spot fixing case of the Indian Premier League in 2013 and this report was presented in the Supreme Court of India on Friday. The higher court ordered to start investigation of the case against the alleged nominations including the owner of Chennai Super Kings, N Srinivasan, his son in law, Gurunath Meiyappan and co-owner of Rajasthan Royals, Raj Kundra.
In the report, there were some other names, which were revealed including Stuart Binny, Owais Shah and Samuel Badree along with IPL CEO, Sundar Raman. All these people are included in those 13 people, who have been investigated by the panel, which has submitted its report on 3 November.
Supreme Court contemplated over the issue on Monday that this report should be made public. The petitioner, Amit Verma demanded to make this report public in the best interest of the sports. Then apex court issued order to making public the names of the involved persons in the IPL spot fixing case and also asked for the sports person to left out but the names of Owais Shah, Binny and Badree were included unintentionally.
In the panel of Justice Mukul Mudgal is also comprised of the former Indian captain and star batsman, Sourav Ganguly. This panel conducted the investigation of the allegation of the spot fixing case, which was made in 6 IPL matches and they have probed into the case of 12 prominent players along with Srinivasan.
This issue of the spot fixing has confused the former BCCI chief, Srinivasan and he left his seat after this scandal. This issue has also disturbed CSK captain, MS Dhoni and he may likely involve in this issue. It is reported that the hearing of the case will be held on 24 Nov. the apex court has issued the order that the meeting of BCCI will be held on 20 Nov and it is said that it is hoped for the re-election of the Srinivasan to the head of the BCCI.
