Mashrafe Murtaza Stands For Sohail Tanveer In BPL 2016

In Bangladesh Premiere League, Comilla Victorians’ captain Mashrafe bin Mortaza quarrels with team owner for Sohail Tanveer. He left hotel on demand of dropping of Pakistani cricketer and returned after apology.

According to details, the team of Comilla Victorians has scattered after losing three consecutive matches in BPL. Captain Mashrafe Mortaza loses his temper after criticism on his captaincy style.

Franchise owner Mustafa Kamal demanded to drop Sohail Tanveer two matches earlier but it was rejected by team’s captain. After continuous interference, Mashrafe left the hotel of team. He said that owner is putting unnecessary pressure. Later, Mustafa Kamal apologized from him after which he decided to play match against Dhaka Dynamites.

According to sources, Mashrafe Mortaza had been able to take his team to final in the previous three editions of BPL but the franchise owner not only questions him on team selection but alos on his captaincy after three consecutive defeats. In reply, he said that players have lost dependence on their abilities due to unnecessary pressure and he thinks it inappropriate to lead the team in such conditions.

Later, Mashrafe talked carefully to media at his home and said that such quarrels can happen if team losses. He feels the absence of all rounders like Russell and Bravo in the field while he is trying to give full attention on game.
