Pak Teams Jumps from 8th to 6th Position in ODI Rankings

Pakistani cricket team won the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 against India and Pakistan also showed great performance in various other leading teams in this event. Now Pakistan has improved its position in the ODI ranking and it jumps from the 8th position to the 6th position.

In the ICC Champions Trophy event, Pakistan played the matches against South Africa, Sri Lanka, England and India. Pakistan lost one match against India on 4 June and after that Pakistan won all of the remaining matches against all big giants of the event and Pakistan became champion after winning the final match of the ICC Champions Trophy 2017. Pakistan cricket team was present on the 8th position in this event and now this team reached to the 6th position after winning the matches in this big event. Now Pakistan has improved its ranking from Bangladesh and Sri Lanka and it can qualify for the World Cup 2019. The 12th ICC World Cup 2019 will be played in England from 30th May to the 15t July.

According to the latest ranking, South Africa has total 119 points and it is present at the top position. Australia is present at the second position with total 117 points. Indian team has total 116 points and it has third position in ranking. England has 113 points and New Zealand has 111 points and both the teams are present at the fourth and fifth position. Pakistan has 95 points and it reached to the 6th position in the ODI ranking. Bangladesh has total 94 points and Sri Lanka has 93 points and both the teams are at 7th and 8th positions respectively.
