Pakistani Team Departures to Dubai for T20 Series

The players of national T20 team have departure from Lahore Airport to Dubai for series against West Indies. In this tour, the national team will play 3 test matches, 3 ODIs and 3 T20 matches against West Indies.

Sarfraz Ahmed is the captain of T20 team while other players in the team include Babar Azam, Hasan Ali, Imad Wasim, Saad Nasim, Khalid Latif, M Nawaz, M Rizwan, Ruman Raees, Sharjeel Khan, Shoaib Malik, Sohail Tanvir, Umar Akmal and Wahab Riaz.

First T20 match will be played on 23rd September 2016 while the 2nd and 3rd match will be played on 24th and 27th September respectively. First two matches will be played in Dubai and the last match will be played in Abu Dhabi.

Media manager will join the team before the first match. PCB sources say that the agreement with bowling coach Azhar Mehmood has expired after ODI and T20 series against England. Mickey Arthur wants a foreign bowling coach.

In Pakistani team management, there will be head coach Mickey Arthur, manager Wasim Bari, Asst. manager Shahid Aslam, batting coach Grant Flower, fielding coach Steve Rixon and trainer Grant Luden. The first practice session of Pakistani team will be held on Monday evening in Dubai.

West Indian team has started training in Dubai while their training lasted for 3 hours in ICC Global Academy despite severe hot weather. The team arrived two days earlier before schedule in order to get use to weather and conditions of UAE. New captain Carlos Brathwaite said that they are already world champion and now they want to become number 1 team in T20 cricket.
