New Delhi, India was going to host the under 19 tournament but he lost the hostage of the event and it was shifted to Malaysia. India is also going to host the senior Asia Cup and it is scheduled in India next year. BCCI will get the permission from the government to conduct the event in India of the team including Pakistan cricket team.
It is reported that India is going to host the event of senior Asia Cup next year but India lost the hostage of the Under 19 tournament, which is shifted from India to Malaysia on the request of Pakistan. Now BCCI needs the government approval for such an event, in which Pakistan is also participated.
A senior official of the board said that they also demanded the approval from the government to conduct the Under 19 Asia Cup three months before but the government did not give any reply and the Asia cup under 19 was shifted to Malaysia from India. Now India has to host the senior event next year and the cricket board of India is contacting with the government to get the approval of the Senior Asia Cup, which will be held next year.
The Indian board officials said that Asia Cup cannot be conducted without Pakistan or India because the match between India and Pakistan is the actual match, which most of the people like to watch. If this match is not played then the whole Asia Cup will become useless. It is not the mutual matches series but a multiple nations event like all events of ICC.
The cricket series between India and Pakistan is suspended for many years. Both the teams play against each other in the different ICC events like World Cup, Champions Trophy or Asia Cup. Both the teams played the matches in ICC Champions trophy in India. The Indian and Pakistan women teams also faced each other in the group stage matches. The Asia cup is going to be played in June or July but the rainy season is started during these months so the tournament is delayed to September or October next year.
