Pakistan Hockey Federation has issues a show cause notice to goal keeper Imran Butt for criticizing on head coach and federation.
The letter was written by PHF to Imran Butt’s department PIA in which it is told that the player has badly criticized head coach and federation. According to the laws, they can’t ask the player directly and now PIA sent the reply till 14th February 2017 after taking answer from the goal keeper. After this reply, PIA’s disciplinary action committee will take action.
National hockey team’s head coach Khawaja Junaid said regarding this matter that he has no personal grudge against the goal keeper. He is not included in the team due to poor performance in previous matches and his absence from training camp and trials. Imran Butt should come forward with proves of his allegations. Total 14 matches were played during his coaching during which 14 or 15 goals were scored against Pakistan while Imran was the goalkeeper and this rate is very high in hockey. The goal keeper remained absent from training camp after providing medical certificate and he also didn’t appear in trials. A player can’t be selected without participating in camp and trials.
