Sharjah, Pakistan played the one day series against Sri Lanka in UAE in which five one day internatinal matches were played. Pakistani cricket team showed tremendous performance and it defeated Sri Lanka in all five ODIs and did the clean sweep in this ODI series. Sri Lanka has shown bad performance in this series and it lost all of the matches against Pakistan and it won the record of the bad performance.
This is the third consecutive clean sweep of Sri Lanka, which it received from South Africa, India and Pakistan in a year, which shows their worst performance in the ODIs this year. Pakistan did the clean for the sixth time in its history and it did the clean sweep against Zimbabwe in 2002 and 2009, Bangladesh in 2003 and 2008 and against New Zealand in 2003.
