New Delhi, The Sri Lankan players had to wear the mask, when they played match against India. The Indian capital city, Delhi is included in the most polluted city of the world and the pollution remained at high percentage during normal days. The ratio of air pollution is increased during diwali days. This air pollution has worried the common people and it also created the problems for the Sri Lankan players, who wore mask, when they played match.

The third test match is being played between India vs Sri Lanka in Feroze Shah Kotla Stadium, New Delhi and the Sri Lankan players faced the problem of air pollution. When they entered in the ground after the lunch break, they wore masks and the players faced difficulties during fielding. During the match, the test match was abandoned and the Sri Lankan captain, Danesh Chandimal told umpire that the players had to face serious problems during fielding. When  the match was playing, the situation became so much worse that the Sri Lankan player, Souranga Lakmal had to leave the field after his ill health and after some time, the Sri Lankan team was playing with ten players.

The British department, Leinset Medical Journal revealed in its report that India is on the top of the list of the countries, where the number of death tool is higher because of the pollution. Total 25 lac people died due to air pollution in 2015 and the polluted air has affected every fourth person in India.
